Who is Liv?
Hello to all those who (by some miracle) end up finding this ‘junk drawer’ blog (as I lovingly call it). First and foremost, I would like to welcome you… I hope that you are doing well, staying healthy, and smiling lots. Please feel free to stay on my page and explore all of my stories for as long or as little as you would like. And lastly, never hesitate to ask a question, highlight, send a message, clap, disagree, follow, or whatever may be in-between (is it appropriate to say that ‘any action is good action’… probably not, but there it is). Anyways, at the end of the day, my only goal is to make this little ‘junk drawer’ of mine a safe space where I can speak my mind and simultaneously invite others to speak theirs.
All this said, I understand that it can be a bit intimidating at times to speak your truth to someone whose own truth you don’t know; this post is to give you the opportunity to get to know me a bit better… a virtual introduction, if you will.
So, Hi! My name is Olivia… but as I tell most, you can call me Liv.
I am: 20 years old, a white settler (born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada), and use the pronouns she/her/hers.
I am: a sister to my 18 year old brother and 5 year old sister, a daughter to my loving parents, and a friend to anyone who I cross paths with.
I am: a student who is pursuing a bachelor of Kinesiology with honors. I also hope to challenge the CSEP clinical exercise physiologist exam after my graduation in the spring of 2023.
Words that describe who I am:
- Resilient: The first time I heard the word ‘resilience’ was in a grade 11 chemistry class (and believe me, I quickly had to start practicing from that point on). Since almost failing chemistry, being resilient has become much more natural to me, and I try to apply it to all circumstances and situations that I find myself in.
- Leader: I’m not sure if it is appropriate for someone who considers themselves to be a leader to actually refer to themselves as one, but I do an I will (because I am proud of it). I love to lead through serving others, and find so much…
